Grew eCommerce monthly revenue x10 in 9 months, and achieved sales of £1M+ with SEO and Paid Ads

Situation: The monthly revenue of their mCommerce (mobile eCom) was erratic and did not grow steadily from month to month.
Task: We were invited by the Portfolio Management Fund to stabilise the monthly revenue growth at +30% per month (or more), and not so reliant on seasonality. And, if possible, to increase revenue to £1M+ per year.
Action: We undertook Google traffic research, analysed the competition, and prioritised promotion — based on expected monthly revenue, costs to invest and final ROIs. We were able to pass moderation for both Google and Facebook with a medical topic and launch profitable Ads campaigns. Also, we created working bundles of audiences and funnels, establishing monthly work on content creation and digital PR.
Result: In just 7 months we achieved ROAS of x2.5 in Google Ads and x8 in Facebook and Instagram, increased organic search traffic by x2.3, and grew their eCom Conversion Rate to 4.85%. As a result, the project achieved £1M+ revenue with an average 22.86% monthly revenue growth.
"I can’t speak highly enough about ESA Digital. Dennis and his team have transformed my website from a store that functioned fairly well, to a fully optimised platform which performs better every month and generates significantly more income through substantially better sales conversions. ESA are a joy to work with, patient and diligent with clear communication. We have a plan to continue building on the fantastic growth we’ve already achieved this year, and I have no doubt that with Dennis and his team on side we will accomplish all this and more."

Launched two new eCommerce websites in Spain and Portugal for the international corporation. In 6 months, eCom CR increased x4, online brand visibility x2, online revenue x1.5
Situation: At the start of the year, the local European companies launched two online listings. They received their first online orders - which gave them proof of concept to develop in that direction.
Task: Askona (brand Sleep.8 in Europe and the UK) is the largest manufacturer and retailer of sleep products in Eastern Europe. We were invited by the corporation HQ to improve eCommerce results in these two European markets - Spain and Portugal.
Action: We made tech and traffic research, prepared the plan to migrate to WooCommerce (WordPress). Launched two websites in 2 months, migrated all products, optimised categories in database, fixed all technical mistakes, increased website page speed and eCom conversion rate with UX features. We managed the work of content creation and increasing Google search visibility and organic SEO traffic.
Result: Launched two sites on WooCommerce, increasing their eCom conversion rate x4, online visibility and organic traffic x2, and increasing online revenue x1.5. Created a hybrid customer experience with both offline and online shops to increase monthly revenue x3.
"ESA Digital are SEO and Product managers of our Spain and Portugal eComs. They created our new websites from the ground up, improving UX usability by 4 times. It’s a perfect partnership.
The result? Double the online visibility of our brand and an increase in our online revenue of 150%. We couldn’t be happier."

Created a £1.5M+ revenue organic SEO traffic plan from Google and Yandex searches, increasing organic traffic +34% in 2 months

Situation: A website was created on Squarespace and could not grow with organic traffic.
Task: We joined the founder to help increase the online visibility and website ranking in Google and Yandex searches, develop the infrastructure for the launch of a new EdTech platform. and grow the organic traffic and monthly revenue for future fundraising purposes.
Action: We analysed the technical limitations of the SquareSpace platform and made SEO recommendations to migrate to WordPress. After the client’s successful migration of their website to WordPress, we performed in-depth SEO research on Google and Yandex searches for British, European and CIS markets, analysed the competition and formulated a clear growth strategy. We then started working on increasing their organic traffic and monthly revenue, prioritising the topic clusters according to the ROIs.
Result: In only 2 months, we increased organic traffic +34%, got organic CTR to 3.1%, and got into Google’s Top-10 with 17 non-branded search queries.
"We are currently working on a strategy with Dennis and his team to push the business to the new £1m level. Everything — from audit and research to implementation and daily communication, has been professional, effective and very clear. We are already seeing the results."

Frequently Asked Questions
What is eCommerce SEO?
eCommerce SEO comprises a set of procedures that, together, make your website more attractive to search engines, such as Google. Put simply, the better your eCommerce SEO, the  better your results for search engine rankings, resulting in more visitors to your online store.

eCom SEO includes:
  • headlines,
  • page metadata,
  • products,
  • site design, and a lot more.
It applies to both your static pages and product pages.
What are eCommerce SEO services?
eCommerce SEO services combine the many different optimisations of SEO and tailors them specifically for eCom. The result is a finely-tuned range of services, each designed to generate optimum results. They will include both on and off-page solutions and will be bespoke creations for each website and product page. There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ in eCom SEO.
How do we do eCommerce SEO?
SEO solutions can vary, but to be successful, the core elements must include:
  1. Deep keyword research, to ensure that the site meets the searches that customers are conducting.
  2. Design of the site architecture, based on this research.
  3. On-page SEO – meta tag and content – that leverages all optimal keywords.
  4. Technical SEO – making the site attractive to search engines by creating crawl-efficient architecture.
How eCommerce SEO is different from normal SEO?
eCommerce SEO is a highly specific discipline and is essential for online store success. General SEO practices can work well for generic websites, however, eCom SEO is a requirement for eCommerce success, as it utilises tailored techniques that are unique to online stores.
How do I choose an eCommerce SEO agency?
Prior to engaging an eCom SEO service, there are a few areas to consider:

  1. Look for an agency that properly prepares! Initial research is key; if their initial research is high-quality, then the results they achieve for you will be as well.
  2. Do they understand your geographic market? SEO works differently in different countries – and then further breaks down nationally and locally. This is especially important for eCom SEO.
  3. Do they have a track record? What other companies have they worked with and what were the results? An agency’s portfolio of previous work will indicate the results they can achieve for you.
  4. Understand your current position – and where you want to get to. You need to be clear on your goals (increased traffic, revenue growth, SERP ranking). A good agency must be able to understand how their services can best help your business goals. A great agency will achieve them for you.
How much does eCommerce SEO cost?
eCom SEO services will cost more than generic SEO. This is a reflection of the extra work required to generate the results you are looking for – but it is important to remember that, done well, the ROI makes it worthwhile. eCom SEO pays dividends.

A typical UK SEO company will range from £50 - £100 per hour, which results in a typical monthly required budget of anything from £1,500 - £4,000+ per month.
